This is me playing by the rules; coming out of my secret underground lair; and showing my face, like authors are expected to do. David Badurina was kind enough to host me on his show, Mirth Quake. He had some interesting topics to explore and it was fun to chat with a humorous and charismatic guy.
I didn’t know we were gonna get political, but we sure did. I didn’t want to make my host or his followers uncomfortable, but David rolled with it. As for me…if ya don’t already know that I’m a right-wing boogeyman, well, you haven’t followed me very closely.
I could have articulated pretty much all my points better than I did. And if I was writing my answers instead of speaking them, I would have. Particularly embarrassing is how I flubbed relating what I remembered about the Mozilla Firefox guy. I tried filling in gaps in my memory on-the-fly and wound up saying something inaccurate. It made no sense, even. But, then, it’s hard for me to talk and think at the same time.
As I get closer to launching the crowdfunding campaign for Threat Quotient, I will try to get on more livestreams and podcasts. Also, my other channel here on Substack (“Henry’s Sneak Peaks”) should come alive as I begin sharing art from the pages, covers, etc.
Right now I’m still coloring and lettering as fast as I can as time permits. I’m also separating and formatting individual panels at 72 dpi to arrange in a vertical scroll and share online. Meanwhile, I’m trying to brainstorm marketing ideas so I can build a comics audience—which is a full-time job all by itself. And, of course, I have to maintain some modicum of a presence on social media throughout.
I hope to have good news and good stuff to share in the near future.
I just finished watching it--you did a great job! The only thing I would've done differently is feed the giant seal to the giant squid😆.
