…And it’s refusing to accept that a fight is even occurring.
“All it takes for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.” How can you not be reminded of that axiom when you compare historic America with today’s status quo? Postwar America, for instance, seems by-and-large like a farfetched Utopia to an honest observer today. How far we have fallen.
You might as well learn now that I don’t use the terms “liberal” and “conservative” without irony, or with a straight face. There’s nothing “liberal” about what those people are doing to us. And there’s nothing worth keeping that those other people have conserved. So let’s skip the Newspeak terms and call things what they are.
When decent people were the majority, they could have easily steered us away from the slippery slope without much suffering at all. But good men did nothing.
Early whistleblowers tried to warn our grandparents about what was happening in our government, our economy, and our culture. For their vigilance they were demonized and “canceled.” Good men did nothing about that, too.
Someone brainwashed those Americans of yesteryear that tolerance of evil is a virtue; while it’s a cardinal sin to oppose evil, denounce it, or even expose it. So, without a fight, they surrendered everything, including the future of their progeny to the criminals and traitors who, now that they have control, won’t even consider showing tolerance like what they rode to power.
It played out the same way in arts & entertainment. And in the real world as well as the realm of make-believe, decent people still believe the cardinal sin is fighting back.
Make no mistake: arts & entertainment may have been the most crucial battle of the war. While the media and government schools made decent people ignorant of what the enemy has been doing to us, entertainment persuaded Joe Public to support the ones who would make everything worse. It didn’t start in 2020, or 2008, or 1992. It’s only because the evil is so blatant in-your-face now that normies are even aware anything is amiss. But it’s taken generations of subtle deviation, with plausible deniability, to steer us to the cliff that we’re now speeding over.
For generations, good men tolerated musicians, novelists and filmmakers who hate us to gradually poison the minds of normies against Christianity, the nuclear family, and America. There were whistleblowers along the way on this battlefield, too—and their character was assassinated, reputations destroyed, lives wrecked for daring to expose what was happening. If the whistleblowers were pwincipled consoivatives, armed with bowties, confident smiles, and the power of positive thinking, they would have countered the 24/7 cultural Marxism being peddled in every medium by lecturing at conventions, hosting seminars, and if they were really intrepid, writing non-fiction books that only dittoheads over 40 ever read. That’s how you own them thar misguided libruls!
Despite their ironclad control over every institution, the ones actively pushing our civilization over a cliff are still not in the majority. For the last few years, millions have awakened to what’s happening. The enemy is so bold and so flagrant, now, that only the most absolutely ignorant or dishonest will deny everything sucks and is getting worse. But the ruling class has their victims convinced that it’s all coincidence, or “misguided librul bias” that can be overcome with enough bowties and confident smiles…or maybe the mythical Pendulum’s backswing. Whatever is going on is so totally not a culture war underway. Or, if it is, then pacifism, surrender, or just sticking our heads in the sand are the honorable responses to the enemy’s relentless attacks. Noble defeat is superior to active resistance!
For those who have resisted throwing a punch while they got mercilessly clobbered for decades, what do they do when they’re at the breaking point and just can’t take anymore?
They retreat, of course.
“Comicsgate” wasn’t a counterattack. The battlecry was, “We just want good comics!” Translation: “Let’s not offend anybody. Can’t we dial the culture back to the state of rot it was in during the ‘90s? And we’ll do that by…(drumroll) not presenting any counterarguments whatsoever!”
All the high-profile “Based Counterculture” is this way. The Iron Age seems to be infected with the same attitude. “We’re going to respond to the relentless left-wing brainwashing by being completely apolitical. Yeah—we need an ideological vacuum on our side (while the Woketard Mafia is blasting their ideology in every direction with firehoses). This is principled honorable resistance!”
There aren’t many, but there’s a few who are willing to actively resist. However, while they refuse to adopt the enemy’s tactics or weapons, they do adopt some of the enemy’s narratives.
“I know: let’s make a series about Jesus, using the Gospels as a reference. But the most important thing is to prove that we’re good little White Knight male feminists, so let’s make all the female characters either infallible girlbosses or victims—just like every other show on TV! The friends of the cripple have to be led by a woman. Mary Magdalene needs to be able to out-drink any man—can we contrive an entire episode to depict that? Oh, and have Jesus Himself instruct His disciples to trust her instincts. Alright, the woman at the well was an adulteress with a squad of ex-husbands, but…but…but…I’ve got it! It was all the men’s fault! Is that fresh and innovative or what? Folks are gonna be really impressed with how we are so different from the secular creative teams! Huh? So what about the Bible? Oh, well, hey, God was misguided and outdated when that was written. God needs to catch up with our sophisticated 21st Century worldview!”
Some creative right-wingers punch back, and are not inept. They are the ones who get bum-rushed by concern trolls.
“You’re sinking down to their level!”
“You’re no better than they are!”
“This is not a good look for you.”
“Can’t we just entertain them without offending anyone?”
“Can’t we just make good comics?”
“It’s just wrong to depict politics! I mean, I never complained when left-wing perverts rammed it down my throat for 30-60 years, but it’s simply beyond the pale when you push back from the right!”
Ever notice that pwincipled consoivatives spend more time and effort opposing people on the right than they ever spend opposing the woketards? Maybe there’s a reason for that.
Cultural Marxists have an agenda, but it’s wrong if anyone else does.

The cultural conflict those few volunteers of us are engaged in is the artistic equivalent of trying to fight the tanks, jets, and attack helicopters of the Red Army while the only weapons it’s honorable for us to employ are swords and lances. And the rear echelon concern trolls behind us are telling us we’re paranoid for thinking a war is even happening—but if we’re going to fight in this totally-not-occurring-war, the only honorable course of action is to either retreat, or just stand in the open and allow the enemy to shoot at us with impunity.
Winning is not immoral. It’s not a “bad look.” Fighting to win is not immoral. It’s not you becoming just as evil as the enemy, or “sinking to their level.” Apply Occam’s Razor: people who imply that victory is immoral, for whatever reason, don’t want you to win.
I always say I’d love to go back to an airport in the year 1965. Go up to a group of nicely dressed properly behaved people waiting for a flight. Ask them if they want to see what air travel will be like in 60 years. Then show them a video of people in wife beaters and daisy dukes beating the hell out of each other on a Spirit Airlines flight.
