I suspect that politically incorrect books, and heavily based books in particular, get a much lower review/sale ratio than most books for the same reason that many people don't tell pollsters they're voting for Trump.

Do you see this effect in your stats? (Feel free not to answer--many believe in keeping sales numbers confidential after all!)

It’s hard to compare apples to apples because not all my books have political elements, but not all are marketed exactly the same, either.

I do know I have 10 bestsellers, each with far less reviews than books (mild-to blatant woke) that have not been bestsellers. And Amazon goes through ever so often, deleting my 5 star reviews piecemeal. I’ve never had a 1 star “review” go away, even after pointing out to Amazon’s reps that the “reviewer” admitted to not reading the book.

There are a lot of moving parts. Un-PC books by a based author is just one of them; but a big one, I suspect.

Letters from Barsoom is right. I do hope for reviews. Problem is out of the over 100 books in the last 2 based book sales that have lead to reviews currently is at 0%. I enjoy putting my books in the sale because it is nice to see the sales bump, but it is discouraging to get zero return engagement from the public.

I read you 5X5, bro. It was never easy to get 'Zon reviews; but it's been even more difficult for the last few years. Meanwhile, the mediocre authors/books that don't threaten the Narrative come out of nowhere with viral sales and thousands of reviews.

We need an alternative to 'Zon.
