Not a car expert myself but I had my father teach me how to drive stick shift first. Now there are condos where you're not even allowed to wash your own car in your own parking space 🙄
Back in the early aughts My landlord saw a full drain pan in my apartment I hadn’t had time to dispose of yet, and read me the riot act about changing my oil in the parking lot. Sigh. He also told me getting motor oil on my skin would give me cancer.

Try to find a set of points for a '66 Plymouth Sport Fury 383CI. The counter guy went huh? What are points?!?
My guess would be that you could ONLY find points for anything in a specialty catalog today. And kickdown linkage. Probably carburetors, too.
